WHALES AND DOLPHINS WATCHING SPEEDBOAT TOUR – SEA SAFARI TENERIFE Discover the beauty of South Tenerife’s coastline and the marine wildlife in the Atlantic Ocean. Join the most dynamic speedboat cruise from Puerto Colón, specialized in whale watching. Have a snack and drink in front of a beautiful bay along the south coast of Tenerife. There’s a possibility to jump into the water for a swim and use snorkel masks to discover the colorful underwater kingdom. Description Starting from the harbor of Puerto Colón, located between Las Américas and Costa Adeje, we set sail on the speedboat with a maximum of 11 persons. This smoothly moving speedboat allows us to quickly reach the areas where whales and dolphins are found, increasing our chances of sightings: Resident species: Short-finned pilot whale, bottlenose dolphin,… Occasional species: Atlantic spotted dolphin, common dolphin, Bryde’s whale, sperm whale,… Other animals: Loggerhead turtle, Cory’s shearwater, Portuguese man o’ war, flying fish,… The captain, a specialist cetacean guide, will use his experience and in-depth knowledge to enrich your adventure with fascinating information about Canary marine life. After spotting dolphins, whales, and maybe some turtles or other species, we head to Palm-Mar or La Caleta (depending on the weather), where we stop in a bay for a swim (optional) or snorkeling (snorkel masks provided). A drink, snack, and a taste of a local banana (plátano) from Tenerife plantations are included. On the way back, you’ll enjoy views along the south coast of Tenerife: little ports, beaches, cliffs, caves, natural swimming pools, Teide volcano, La Gomera, and more. Our boat has all official licenses issued by the government of the Canary Islands (Barco Azul) and Spain (AROC) for dolphin and whale watching. We strictly follow all rules with respect for the animals and their habitat.
